Add the marketplace & plugin
Run in Claude Code.
/plugin marketplace add Little-Planet-Labs/plugin-cc
/plugin install little-planet-factory@little-planet-labs-ccFrom Little Planet Labs:
Research what matters, plan work in parallel, inspect changes, and check every requirement before delivery.

01 / The pattern
When needed, the overseer asks a researcher to investigate, then divides the task into file-owned units and delegates them in parallel.
Agent rolesOverseer scopes the task and can ask Researcher for cited findings before dividing it into file-owned units.
Overseer integrates the work; Inspector reviews the result.
Signoff checks every request against the finished work.
02 / The team
Scopes and integrates
Splits work into file-owned units, delegates in parallel, and integrates the result. Owns final quality.
Coordinates complex branches
Coordinates workers on a complex sub-task, integrates their output, and reports to the overseer.
Answers one question
Investigates one question for the overseer or manager. Returns cited findings and labels anything unverified.
Implements one unit
Edits assigned files, runs targeted checks, and reports changes and assumptions. Does not delegate.
Read-only review
Reviews correctness, security, tooling, and integration. Returns a verdict with file-specific findings.
Checks completeness
Matches every request to evidence, catches loose ends, and flags copy decisions before delivery.
03 / Shared guidance
Eleven skills for quality, review, tooling, ticket workflows, and project stacks. Shared guidance comes preloaded; other skills load when they apply.
Preloaded · integrations optional
Connects the team to Cadence knowledge, specs, and reports when available. It also checks Telescope for upstream incidents before the team spends time debugging a service it does not control.
04 / Long sessions
The overseer keeps a small ledger of its working state. The plugin's SessionStart hook puts it back into context after auto-compaction, so long sessions don't lose track of running work.
Turn on auto-compact in /config for long runs, such as working through a Linear board overnight. The hook needs Node.js, and does nothing if it isn't on your PATH.
The overseer records running agents, units and their state, review rounds, background waits, Linear state, and a one-line next step. A request file beside it keeps your original request word for word.
After auto-compaction, or when you resume a session, the hook puts the ledger back into context. If the ledger is too long, it points the overseer at the file instead.
The overseer re-reads the ledger and checks it against running agents, git, and PR comments. Then it continues from the next step, without relaunching an agent that may still be running or repeating a write that's already done.
05 / Lite tier
Start a session with LPF_TIER=lite to spend less on subagents. Managers stay on opus, and workers, inspectors, researchers, and signoff run on sonnet.
LPF_TIER=lite claude --agent little-planet-factory:overseerOnly the environment variable sets the tier. Without it, every subagent except the researcher is pinned to opus. The lite tier runs through the plugin's hooks, which need Node.js on your PATH. Without Node.js, the session runs at full tier.
Lite tier in the READMEFoundational units and inspection triggers run on sonnet too, and keep their usual gates.
Workers, inspectors, researchers, signoff, and Claude Code's built-in agents.
The overseer and managers never quietly bump a unit to opus. When a unit hits the three-round limit, the overseer asks whether to keep it on sonnet or run that one unit at full tier, and moves it to opus only if you say yes.
The tier and any full-tier grants go in the overseer's and managers' ledgers, so they survive compaction.
With the inspector on sonnet, every lite inspection asks for the Codex second review when Codex is set up, repair rounds included. A hook on agent spawns denies any worker, inspector, researcher, signoff, or built-in agent that isn't on sonnet, unless you approved that unit for full tier. Forks are always denied, since a fork runs on its caller's model.
06 / Status mod
In an overseer session, the plugin also loads a status mod. It shows the factory's state inside Claude Code: usage, running agents, and the ledger's next step.
The mod needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later, where mods are on by default. Versions without mod support ignore it, and the rest of the plugin keeps working.
Status mod in the READMEGauges for context and the 5-hour and 7-day rate limits turn green, yellow, then red as they fill, with a countdown to the 5-hour reset. Each agent gets a chip with a status dot, running agents first. Identical agents share a chip with ×N, long descriptions are cut in the middle, and chips that don't fit fold into +N. The band also shows the ledger's next step and how many questions are open.
Press 1 at an empty prompt to open /factory. On a narrow or short terminal, the band drops the 7-day gauge, then the chips, down to one line.
Each Agent row in the transcript gets a summary card with its status dot, agent type, description, model, and elapsed time. The row itself, with its progress, detail, and token count, stays under the card. While agents run, the spinner adds how many are running and the next step.
A toast appears when an agent finishes or fails, with its elapsed time and tokens. Another appears when the 5-hour or 7-day limit passes 80%, and again only after it drops below 70% or the window resets.
/factory paneThe pane shows usage gauges for context, tokens left before auto-compaction, the 5-hour and 7-day rate limits, and session cost. Its agent tree runs from the overseer down through managers to workers, each with its status, model, elapsed time, and tokens.
A ledger summary shows its status, next step, open questions, units by state, background work, and each manager ledger's next step.
When context reaches 90% of the auto-compaction threshold, or 75% of the window when the threshold isn't known, the mod tells the overseer once to bring its ledger up to date. It reminds it again after the next compaction.
07 / Get started
Requires Claude Code. Install from the Little Planet Labs marketplace, then start the overseer.

/plugin marketplace add Little-Planet-Labs/plugin-cc
/plugin install little-planet-factory@little-planet-labs-ccLaunch a new session.
claude --agent little-planet-factory:overseerFor a project default, add { "agent": "little-planet-factory:overseer" } to .claude/settings.json.
To spend less on subagents, start in the lite tier.
Add to .claude/settings.json and commit. Teammates receive an install prompt when they trust the folder.
